I almost don’t want to write a review because it is such a hidden gem! This place is magic and an oasis of calm away from the touristy south shore. We spent the evenings making meals and listening to the wind in the palms outside. Truly magical!

Absolutely a dream location. This was our first trip to Maui and my wife and I were literally astonished at the beauty of upcountry Maui and this particular area. It is like a dream come true...continual lush landscapes, beautiful country roads, and easy access to fantastic coffee (Wailuku Coffee Company), great breakfast to start your day (Baked On Maui), Bike Maui (for a Haleakala sunrise/downhill bike trip), and great food (Hali’imale General Store) and the town of Paia. The start to The Road to Hana is nearby and so are many, many beaches of the North Shore. The entire area of the island is just lush perfection. The house itself is perfect for a family of 4 or two couples. Or even just a twosome! My wife and I had the house to ourselves and it was fantastic. It is clean, modern, stylish, and has literally everything you could need. Every single room has an amazing view and there is natural light present every hour from sunrise to sunset. The decks are gorgeous and Though we didn’t use anything, there is a litany of beach gear/chairs/cooler etc to make any day at the beach well prepared. There is an outdoor hose to clean off any sand/dirt from hiking. The property is very secure and has a gate at the top of the driveway. The lane the house is located on is gorgeous. There is a tv with a Roku in the living room and a large enough couch to relax in the afternoon after an early morning activity. I can’t recommend staying here enough. If this location is available — book it. Get to know this part of Maui and avoid the resorts. It doesn’t get any better than this Airbnb to experience Maui.

I found everything I came looking for. Tucked away in Haiku it has everything you needed to have a magical trip from a fully equipped kitchen, to yoga mats, and all the beach stuff. I couldn't have felt more at home. All of that with an exceptionally designed space and beautiful view. I will definitely be back.

YOU MUST VISIT HERE! We booked the cottage as a romantic (haha, dreaming with a 6 month old) stay to get away from Lahaina. We LOVED THIS PLACE SO MUCH! So perfectly laid out and decorated, its CLEAN with fantastic furnishings. We could have stayed a month or two! SUPER GREAT PROPERTY!!!

Wow what an incredible experience! This place was clean, cozy, and so so lovely it’s hard to put into words. We had several days when we saw rainbows in the backyard. The street was quiet and peaceful. It was hard not to curl up with a cup of coffee and stay in all day listening to the occasional rain shower. The green from the yard and trees accented everything in the house perfectly. I really cannot say enough good things about this place.

This was the most perfect Airbnb for our stay. Located in a great neighborhood that is so beautiful and very close to town. private and secure. The house was super cute with everything you would need, beds were VERY comfortable and all was VERY clean. It was extremely quiet and she had everything you would want from beach amenities, to a speaker that I could travel with, kitchen was stocked, shower was strong and hot. It was absolute perfection. I could not have asked for anything better. If this house is available for your dates, DO NOT HESITATE booking. I have already booked my next stay, it was that good!!!

Jacqueline's cottage was perfect for us for the week. Remote, quiet, spacious, clean and check in/out was super easy. We also fell in love with the town closeby, Makawao - drove there every morning to get coffees/tea and fresh baked goods. It's also a short drive to some other delicious restaurants on the island. Beach gear is also available from snorkel/goggles to umbrellas which was super helpful on beach days. Overall very happy with everything and would highly recommend and would definitely stay again. Everything was absolutely perfect! The location was just what we were looking for. Close to things but very private. The yard is huge and you can see the ocean at the edge. The house is spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. It had everything we could possibly need. It was very easy to communicate with the host and checking in and out was very easy. The only negative was that we had to leave! Lol. Hope to stay there again one day! Had an amazing time. Very grateful!

This place was honestly my favorite place to stay in Maui! After weeks in the busier beach areas, it was so nice to just rest and unwind in upcountry. The cottage was phenomenal. It was sparkling clean when I arrived, Jackie left great recommendations, there was everything you needed (beach chairs, snorkel gear, towels, etc) it was perfectly decorated, it honestly just felt like home. Location is close to Paia and great place to get on the road early to Hana. Jackie was a pleasure to work with. Will definitely be back in the future!

The cottage was wonderful a quaint and comfortable two bedroom cottage situated in the beautifully lush Haiku area. Close to Paia and other great spots and not too far from most of the island. The house was well decorated and had all the necessary amenities and thoughtful touches. Look forward to visiting again.

What a lovely idyllic spot! Was perfectly located close to Paia, road to Haleakala Crater, and more. Wonderfully appointed cottage with all modern conveniences. Even a view of the north shore over a banana grove. Beds super comfortable and a lovely screened porch and deck to grill. Couldn’t have asked for anything more to be honest. And the hosts were delightful and super friendly. All round top notch AirBNB!

Loved staying here! It was so comfy and stylish. Great location and amenities like beach gear, welcome snacks, fans, and book selection for reading. The view and the setting were really tranquil, the bed was comfy, and good hot water for a shower or bath. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in the north shore. The house is cozy and comfortable, well designed and had everything we needed. We loved sitting looking out at the lush backyard and watching the rain and sun trade off during the day. The location is awesome, close the haiku town and Makawao, close to ho’okipa and paia. Communication and check in/out were super easy. We will be back!

This is by far the BEST bnb we have ever stayed at, and we have stayed at many. From the details to the location, everything was much better than we expected. The location is in haiku in the jungle. Away from tourist, we felt like we were secluded from the busy scene and were able to relax and really enjoy our vacation. The kitchen supplies were great, we were able to make dinners when we got sick of restaurant food. The host was very detail oriented and quick to respond. We also took advantage of borrowing their beach chairs and umbrella and go to the beach every day! We will be back!

Really charming place in magical Haiku and North Shore

I stayed at Haiku Garden Cottages for a period of two weeks. The cottage is very beautiful, spacious, well-sunlit, and airy. I was working remotely for part of my stay during these two weeks and spent quite a bit of time at home. All throughout the day, I had a constant feeling that I was living in midst of nature with periodic rustling of leaves, chirping of birds, a breeze flowing through the house, and beautiful views all around. The mornings were refreshing and there were days when there would be a light rain and a rainbow will form almost in the same location. The evenings were particularly charming especially when you have your friends or loved ones around; one can sit outside on the patio and have a conversation over a drink, or play games, or if you are alone, read a book while feeling immersed in nature. The house was spotless. All the amenities (washer, dryer, dish washer, etc.) were provided. The house is close to beautiful beaches (Baldwin, Ho'okipa). There are great food options close by near Haiku Market (10 mins away) or Paia (20 mins away). The drive back to the cottage is very beautiful. I had a great stay. Jackie is a great host. She was very prompt in her responses whenever I needed assistance. I would love to be back here in the future.

Haiku Garden Cottages was the perfect getaway! So close to beautiful beaches, Hana Highway, and the towns Paia and Haiku. The property is so lush and quiet and the space is comfortable and airy. We saw rainbows every day from the back windows! We can't wait to return!

Stop and book this place before it’s gone! This was one of the most special Airbnb’s we’ve been in. The property has local bananas all over it and giant bamboo rustles you to sleep. The ocean view from the screened in porch / lanai makes lounging in the outdoor sofa even more relaxing than we imagined. Then there’s the hospitality- the hosts go out of their way and stock this place with high quality items like the full set of Calphalon pots and pans and beautiful dishes. The Samsung front loader washer is quick and another sign of how much the hosts care about your experience. The beds are very comfy and the linens are also very nice. The outdoor shower was one of our highlights. The house is tucked away on a quiet cul de sac and far away from the touristy parts of Maui which makes this place a hidden gem.
Superb destination and hospitality. Jacqueline responded lightning quick, has a perfectly cozy and private cottage setup for guests and goes a step further to provide beach gear (umbrella, towels, boogie board, cooler, etc) as well. Would recommend for anyone who wants a quiet, tropical getaway in the heart of charming Haiku, Maui.

The house was lovely! Clean, well appointed, comfy beds. We loved the outdoor shower and being able to leave the glass doors open and let the fresh air through the screen. Very relaxing place to stay. My kids were happy to put together a puzzle and help us cook in the kitchen. The stars at night were mesmerizing, as were the geckos who kept peeking in the windows :) Little details like coffee and beach chairs & towels were very appreciated. Meagan was quick to respond to messages as well.

This little cottage in Haiku was better than my family and I expected. It was located close to markets and restaraunts but was completely private, a beautiful cosy oasis for us to relax in. Jackie’s place is beautiful! It is sparkling clean, the surrounding area is lush with greenery and trees and is so refreshing. We found some fresh passion fruit off of one of the trees in the backyard. We were welcomed with some delicious Hawaiian treats! The bedrooms are a great size and the bed was very comfortable. There is only one bathroom but there is an outdoor shower as well (which was amazingggggg). Jackie has provided a binder will some local tips and suggestions which was a nice touch. The location was perfect for the road to Hana, only about 30-45 minutes or so to the beginning. We also did the Haleakala crater from here which was an easy drive. It is about an hour and a bit from the west side of Maui - Kaanapali, Lahaina.. etc. But not too far. I would definitely stay here again! Thank you Jackie and meagan!
